Boni
“Boni”refers to “študentski boni” or student food vouchers and it is a system that offers students (and olso volounteers) a 4,02 EUR discount per meal in certain restaurants.

HOW TO APPLY
You need:
➜ EMŠO number that you will receive by doing your working permit,
➜ your volunteer contract to show the date of starting and ending of your volunteering project.
In Ljubljana, you can ask for boni in office of Študentska organizacija univerze v Ljubljani, in this location.
HOW TO USE BONI
To use boni in restaurant you will need aplication “Študentska prehrana” (Google Play, App Store) or it can be connected to your phone number).
You will find all the restaurants and prices for student meal in the app.
Traditional dishes
Slovenia has mixture of balkan, italian and austrian cousine.

➔ Čevapčiči: small, oblong-shaped grilled minced meat sausages, typically made from a mixture of ground beef and sometimes pork or lamb.
➔ Jota: traditional soup or stew that is commonly made with sauerkraut or sour turnip, beans, potatoes, and various types of meat, such as bacon, sausage, or ham.
➔ Polenta: made from buckwheat or cornmeal.
➔ Leteče žganci: consisting of small, irregular dumplings made from buckwheat or wheat flour, served with savory toppings.
➔ Idrijski žlikrofi: small pasta dumplings filled with ingredients like potatoes and onions, folded into a unique hat-like shape, and typically served with various sauces.
